60 Party Gaming Review
The focus at PartyGaming is on fun, ease of use, reliability and security.
Party Gaming software and systems are at the forefront of technological innovation, which allows them to deliver cutting-edge game features and functionality. PartyGaming is the world's leading listed online gaming business. The Group offers a variety of games through an integrated Party-branded platform and through a number of secondary brands and alliances with blue chip companies. Through their unique operating platform, adults can tune in to a broad range of games, using multiple languages, multiple-currency options and with the tools to ensure they have fun and play within their means.
The company listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2005.
Regulated and licensed by the Government of Gibraltar, the Group has over 1,200 employees located in the head office and operations centre in Gibraltar, a business process outsourcing operation in India, and a marketing services subsidiary and multi-lingual customer service operations in Europe. The Group has customers throughout the world. PartyGaming does not accept wagers or deposits for real money games from customers located in the US. The Group's key gaming sites include PartyPoker.com, one of the world’s largest online poker rooms and PartyCasino.com, the world's leading online casino. In addition, the Group offers sports betting through PartyBets.com and Gamebookers.com, online bingo through PartyBingo.com and online backgammon through PartyGammon.com.
Poker is the Group’s largest business segment with key brands including PartyPoker, EmpirePoker and Noble Poker.
Casino (including bingo) is the Group’s fastest growing segment with over 50 different games including slots, blackjack, roulette, and video poker. As well as these traditional online casino games, the Group also offers virtual horse and virtual dog racing as well as multi-player blackjack. All these games and more offered on a number of different sites, including PartyCasino, CasinoKing and CasinoLasVegas.
Except for casino tournaments, all players place bets against the house, and the outcome is determined by randomly generated results. Wager limits vary from $0.01 to $1,000, depending on the game. Casino revenue represents the net win, being the amount wagered less player winnings and any change in liability of progressive prize pools. Bingo revenue represents player buy-in less prize payouts.
Sports Betting, PartyBets and Gamebookers offer odds on over 30 different sports as well as live betting on up to 36 different events at any one time.
Whilst they continue to develop new games in-house, they also licence games and brands from third-parties and white label and licence their products and brands to other companies.
In 2007, the Group’s casino product was substantially improved through a series of software upgrades, the addition of a number of new slot machines and the integration of the acquisitions from EOL and IOG. Casino, which includes bingo games, is the Group’s second largest business segment and in 2007 it generated Continuing revenue of $146.7 million (2006: $51.0 million) and Continuing Clean EBITDA of $43.6 million (2006: $15.9 million).
